Dear Families,
I wanted to share with you that we are making our plan work here at school, as classrooms and learning spaces are becoming more familiar each day. As you know, we had an abrupt impact on our school just two weeks ago. This time of year is a great time of year for learning, and we are adjusting to new routines in different areas of the building. As always, if there is anything we can do to support your child, please let us know. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation throughout the recent building changes.
Tom
As part of their ongoing learning in collaboration with the Farnsworth Art Museum, our 7th graders recently spent a day at the Open House of History in Waldoboro, where they explored the rich local history of the community.
Most recently, students continued this experience with a visit to Maine Media College in Rockport as part of this exciting partnership. Stay tuned for more updates and highlights from that experience!
Our 4th graders enjoyed a special visit yesterday from a representative of the Knox-Lincoln Soil & Water Conservation District. Students had the chance to sit back and relax as she read aloud I Love Blueberries!, making for a fun and engaging learning experience.
Congratulations to the students pictured below for their outstanding achievements in the Knox-Lincoln Conservation Poster Contest! We are proud to recognize the following winners:
Ainsley Emerson (Kindergarten) – K–1 Class Honorable Mention
Peyton Friant (Grade 2) – 2–3 Class First Place
Gabe McEachern (Grade 4) – NCS School Winner
Easton Burnham (Grade 5) – 4–6 Class First Place
Aidan Kapuscinski (Grade 6) – 4–6 Class Honorable Mention
Amelia Pert (Grade 6) – 4–6 Class Honorable Mention

Great work to all of our talented student artists—we are so proud of your creativity and dedication!

5th graders kicked off their 8-week D.A.R.E. curriculum this week with Sergeant Day! Throughout the program, students will build important skills in decision-making, responsibility, and resisting peer pressure. At the conclusion of the course, they’ll celebrate their hard work with a trip to see the Portland Sea Dogs at Hadlock Field—a fun and well-earned reward!
